Anna and Ben’s romance began in the workplace. He was the head chef and she the manager of the restaurant, where they both worked. Their love blossomed over the next four years before they became engaged. Anna, now a teacher, planned the entire wedding over the next 12 months with lots of help from her devoted family along the way.
One heart-melting moment from their Witta church ceremony was when Anna’s father walked her down the aisle, and then married the pair in his capacity as a Pastor. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their 65 guests kicked on for a Noosa reception at RACV Noosa Resort. There are many memorable moments from this wedding, all of which were captured by Alan Hughes Photography. You can see the full wedding album here.

In the bride’s words…
Special moments
Having my Dad who is sick with Motor Neuron Disease walk me down the aisle was the greatest gift, also marrying the love of my life and getting to share with all my friends and family was truly special.
Gifts exchanged
I gave my sister, who was bridesmaid, a pair of earrings to wear on the day. Ben gave his groomsman a bottle of Irish whiskey. Ben sent me a beautiful big bunch of flowers to my room on the day and I snuck into his room the night before we got married and placed a bottle of Jameson’s (his favourite whiskey) into his room wrote him a poem and note.
Family a priority
I involved my family as much as I could. My dad is a Pastor so he was able to perform the ceremony and marry us. My brother, Chris, plays the guitar so he played for my first dance. My Aunty Tania is a music teacher so she played the piano as I walked down the aisle. I also asked a few other family members to say bible readings. My little nephew was my ring bearer and carried the rings down the aisle. Any way I could involve them I did.
Designer dress
My sister, Kiri, helped me to design my dress and she designed her own bridesmaid dress.
Unique guest book
Instead of having your typical guestbook I got Katie from ipuzzleu to build and make a puzzle for our guests to sign.
The Happy Couple
We meet when we were both working in restaurant. I was the restaurant manager and he was the head chef. The main thing that makes us work together is how open and honest we are with each other. We like to make each other laugh.
