Of all the silly nonsense… an Alice in Wonderland themed engagement party? It seems everything it is, it isn’t, and contrarywise what it isn’t it should be. What a strange world we live in…
Amy and Josh’s engagment shoot concept was born from Amy’s lifelong fascination with Alice in Wonderland. I must agree, we can all learn a lot from Lewis Carroll’s famous children’s book. Melanie McNiven helped the couple’s dream come to life with this shoot at Wirreanda Park in Buderim.
“I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night. Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next question is ‘Who in the world am I?’ Ah, that’s the great puzzle!”

“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. ‘Which road do I take?’ she asked. ‘Where do you want to go?’ was his response. ‘I don’t know,’ Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it doesn’t matter.”
“You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”
“Of all the silly nonsense, this is the stupidest tea party I’ve ever been to in all my life!”
“Lastly, she pictured to herself how this same little sister of hers would, in the after-time, be herself a grown woman; and how she would keep, through all her riper years, the simple and loving heart of her childhood: and how she would gather about her other little children, and make their eyes bright and eager with many a strange tale, perhaps even with the dream of Wonderland of long ago: and how she would feel with all their simple sorrows, and find a pleasure in all their simple joys, remembering her own child-life, and the happy summer days.”
