Sunshine Coast locals Chelsey and Luke recently said their vows overlooking the Maroochydore River at The Rocks. Located in Yandina, The Rocks is a secluded property, which is the ideal wedding venue for couples looking for a completely private country-style wedding. The rustic setting is idyllic with plenty of space to roam, finding those perfect little spots to cuddle up for a photo op.
As you will see, the couple kept their wedding day very simple by scaling back to the bare necessities – food, flowers, cake, and each other. They did some DIY and forewent having a bridal party, which they credit with saving them money on their bottom line. Impressively, they came in under budget!

The Venue
“Our venue at The Rocks was amazing! It was so beautiful and such a lovely day. Everyone commented on how much fun they had we wish we could do it all again. Our highest priority was to have a fun carefree day that we could enjoy with all our friends and loved ones.”
The Music
“I walked down the aisle to ‘Here Comes The Sun‘ by The Beatles. We had our first dance to Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together‘.
First Look
Chelsey and Luke decided to have a “first look”. This is where the betrothed couple meet up just prior to their ceremony and take a few special moments together, and have some photos taken before they join all their guests for the rest of the day.
They met under the trees at Buderim’s Wirreanda Park, and Emma Nayler Photographer caught the special moment when they first saw each other on their wedding day.
