Real Wedding: Melitta & Trent at Maleny Retreat

17th December 2014

Trent and Melitta initially bonded over play dough creations and sand pit adventures. They first met at their pre-school, where they both grew up, on Bribie Island, however it was quite a number of years later and a day at the races that saw them come together.  After six blissful years together, Trent proposed, and what followed was a “westival” at Maleny Retreat. “A westival?”, you ask. Indeed, a wedding-meets-festival that has the key elements of a relaxed atmosphere, live music, great food, oodles of space and every friend and every family member that could be gathered to celebrate. Maleny Retreat is…

14th December 2014

Come with us on a journey as we go through the looking glass… This ceremony styling is like something from  a fairytale, and in the incredible hinterland setting of wedding venue, Flaxton Gardens, it is a sight to behold. Peering through the looking glass doors to the outrageously stunning view of the Sunshine Coast hinterland beyond… hola perfection.  Autumn colours have been used throughout the styling by talented sister duo, Style le Aisle, and followed through in the florals. We love this ceremony styling for a Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding in autumn.  So go on, take a little adventure through…

Cecile and Trent may just be the cutest couple we’ve seen. They wed in a beautiful ceremony at Flaxton Gardens, following it up with some sensational location shots around the hinterland in Flaxton and Maleny. They then head back to Flaxton Gardens to rejoin their 105 guests for a relaxed reception. Jennifer Oliphant was there to capture every moment of their special day.  “I wanted a Tiffany…

DIY: Honeycomb Garland

10th December 2014

If you’re anything like me, you buy all these fancy decorations and then don’t really know exactly what to do with them placement-wise to make them look as spectacular as you would like. This idea from the clever folk at Oh Happy Day! is brilliant! I love how putting all of these honeycomb decorations bunched up together in one impressive garland creates a fabulous statement.  It frames the food table perfectly, and would also work for a sweets table adornment, behind the bridal party table, or as a photo booth backdrop. You could select colours that tie in with your…
