Real Wedding: Amy & Joe at Pt. Cartwright

26th November 2014

Amy says she fell in love with Joe at first sight. It was certainly was a fateful weekend away from Kingaroy for Joe to Amy’s hometown of Toowoomba. It was an overcast day with showers, but it didn’t dampen the happy couple’s spirits at all. In fact Amy says the cloud cover made for amazing photos and she’s grateful for her wedding day weather.  Said perfect…

Real Wedding: Jodi & Zac in Eumundi

24th November 2014

Jodi was a self-proclaimed non-bride bride. This is most certainly reflected in her off-beat bridal fashion – full sequins in a champagne/soft peach and red lips and nails.  Jodi and her beau, Zac, were married at the most stunningly gorgeous private property, home to a tree a Disney animated musical should be set in, which became the magical backdrop to their ceremony.  Maybe it was because she shares her name with the bride, but Jodi McDonald the photographer felt so welcome at this wedding, she says it felt less like work and more like being a guest at a very…

Real Wedding: Cassie & Paul in Diamond Valley

23rd November 2014

Cassie and Paul were living in Western Australia in the lead up to their Sunshine Coast wedding, so they enlisted the help of wedding planner, Emma McGee, from Wild Heart Weddings to plan their beautiful marquee wedding from top to bottom.  The couple had the benefit of the bride’s parents’ Diamond Valley property to utilise for their wedding day, with plenty of space to erect a marquee. I’m going to confess something. Until this wedding came into my hot little hands, I had never heard of Diamond Valley. A little investigating unturned that it is located out the back of Eudlo….

Bohemian Bride on the Farm Inspiration

16th November 2014

I was recently asked to be in a gorgeous styled shoot with a bohemian bridal theme, set on a property in Maleny in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. So I said to myself, I said, “Sally, why not? Go for it girlfriend! Enjoy!” Then I donned a pair of boots and scooted up the range to be a model for the day.  I felt a little like a fish out of water, as I’m far better accustomed with being behind the scenes in my sneakers and jeans than all dolled up in a dress! I have to say, it was a…
