Long-time locals, Sam and Cassie, felt a deep connection to Point Cartwright having grown up with so many memories tied to the place, so they could think of no better place to wed.  Their wedding theme was a classic shabby chic beach affair with mint blue, whites, and neutrals with aged wood, baby’s breath and white wash furniture. Puppies! We love puppies and love, and indeed puppy love, here at The Bride’s Tree. How gorgeous are Frankie and Archie, the French Bulldog fur babies of Penny and Nathan. As a writer, I love a blank page. That moment before I start typing, before I even know where my fingers hovering above the keyboard will take me is my favourite. When Paul took Bec to the Palazzo Versace for their sixth anniversary (swanky Paul, nicely done!), the little lady got more than she expected. The rose petals, candles and champagne were present, romancing up the joint, but the heartfelt proposal that followed took things to the next level.  Adriana Watson shot this earthy, organic engagement shoot in a local pine forest. Level-headed bride, Hayley, has some great advice for brides-to-be, saying, “At the end of the day, you are the only one that knows what you wanted to do, so don’t stress if you don’t get everything done.” And she should know how it goes to have a long stretch of to-do list to get through, having planned an almost entirely DIY wedding at Booroobin property, Sweetwater Cottage, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Her now-husband, Wade, was part of the process too, and is quite proud of his Gumtree find of a dancefloor to set up for the entirely outdoors wedding….
