We have a brand-spanking new subject for our "of the week" series. You may have already guessed it… Yes, that's right, it's Makeup Design of the Week! Today we are kicking it off with beautiful work by Sunshine Coast wedding makeup artist, Natalie Hunter. This design is really striking for a wedding. It's a gorgeous smokey eye with liquid line, bronze cheek and nude glossy lip. The lovely photograph is by Adori Studios. If you're looking for some wedding inspiration today, come along to the It's My Wedding Expo at Maroochy RSL between 10am and 4pm. The Bride's Tree team will…

Photo of the Week

25th May 2012

This Noosa wedding photo is really unique and lovely. Of course it's by one of our favourite Sunshine Coast wedding photographers, Alan Hughes. The building itself with the old school ice-cream stand striped awning sets a great scene for the intimate kiss between the newlyweds. And if the cute couple aren't enough to put a smile on your face, there's always the reminder that ice-cream makes you happy! Now, if you would like to meet the taker of this pretty picture here, you simply must pop along to the It's My Wedding Expo at Maroochy RSL tomorrow from 10:00am to…

Inspiring Yandina Station Styled Photoshoot

23rd May 2012

Yandina Station is one amazing Sunshine Coast wedding venue. It is undeniably beautiful in its sprawling countryside location, just a stone's throw from beautiful Coolum beach. This styled shoot at Yandina Station we absolutely adore. The location is obviously incredible, and beautifully showcased in the photography by Alan Hughes Photography. The stunning models (Jana and Chelsea from Asha Model Management), are positively toothsome in the bridal gowns by eVisual Bridal Boutique and Wendy's Flowers and Event Hire did an amazing job on the pretty flowers and styling.  There is inspiration aplenty in this styled shoot. Our fave elements are the vintage bluebird tablecloth and the amazing flower…

Expressing your relationship through colour

22nd May 2012

WIN more It's My Wedding passes today (see bottom of this post), but first, a special treat…    Guest Blog by  Sunshine Coast celebrant, Fiona Roberts of Celebrate with Fiona   You may wonder why a Celebrant would be talking about colour – but it is important that they be made aware of your chosen colour scheme, so that they may respect your choice and blend with your bridal party. Imagine if you had chosen a red and white theme and your Celebrant turned up wearing bright green!   I’ve seen some truly wonderful colour combinations lately, including an amazing…

Flaxton Garden Wedding with Style

20th May 2012

Vicki and Chris first met while learning a spot of Latin dancing for a unique birthday party for a mutual friend. I guess you could say, Chris swept Vicki off her feet! The two may conveniently compliment each other with commonality, such as Chris’s love of desserts and Vicki’s love of baking, but it’s their faith that really make their relationship work, they say. They also credit good communication as one of the most important ways they make their relationship work – sharing the good, as well as the not-so-good thoughts and feelings is key, they say. Their Sunshine Coast…

There's something happening in this photo. That's without a doubt! Everybody loves fun in a luxury vehicle for a special occasion, and these gals are no different. Lucky Matt Rowe Photography was there with his keen eye for an awesome shot like this one with the reflection of those happy faces in the sunroof. Amazing!

Some Seriously Special Stationery

17th May 2012

There is something about paper. And paper in the form of beautifully designed wedding stationery is of course the best kind. Which is why I have drooled over these gorgeous wedding stationery designs by Kerrie-Anne Design and Photography since our styled shoot for the first edition of The Bride's Tree free online bridal magazine. We were super lucky to have the talents of Kerrie-Anne Bennett on board for our One Dress Three Ways styled shoot, which took place at Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding chapel, Anna Bella The Wedding Chapel in pretty Ilkey. The photo shoot was a stack of fun, with a…
