Venue Review: The Lakehouse

Absolute waterfront purpose-built Sunshine Coast wedding venue is centrally located at Brightwater, overlooking the lake. Inside, the décor promotes warmth and stylish nautical opulence.

Inside The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast you will find beautiful interior styling, which has two key elements – stag heads and antlers, and a hint of the nautical. The little touches, like oars and a cow hide rug beside the fireplace in the welcome area give you an instant feeling of warmth.

There are two gorgeous ceremony locations on site, making this venue perfect for those couples wanting a carefree wedding day, where everyone can relax from start to finish with no travelling. And thanks to the function coordinators, no fuss. However, even if it’s your dream to be married on a beach or in a pretty chapel, there are both options but  a 10-minute drive away.

Turning towards the majestic lake, the weatherproof deck offers sweeping views of the surrounding estate and is the ideal location for your guests to enjoy pre-reception canapes.

The main function space is a mix of plush deep carpet, luscious wallpapers, antler chandeliers and an eclectic mix of classic and country furniture with a slightly distressed finish. With tones in grey, charcoal, slate, black, white, ivory and pewter, this beautiful room provides the perfect backdrop for your own décor and style and will fit with any colour scheme.
