Wedding Fashion on the Farm

Just because you’re getting married on a farm, it doesn’t mean you can’t get all decked out in the finest attire. Our bride and groom got into the spirit from first light with their “bride” and “groom” tees from The Bride’s Tree Shop merch range. It’s specially designed for couples who want to proudly wear their status without compromising on style.

The bride then wore a full skirted strapless gown for her ceremony, switching it out for a fun and flirty number for the reception. Of course, teaming the look with jewellery from Leskes Jewellers was an absolute must. A delicate yet dazzling diamond necklace decorated her décolletage with her ceremony gown, and then for the reception, it was time to go for a cute, yet classic, string of pearls.

The groom was dashingly dressed by the expert team at Brisbane-based Black Jacket Suiting. His soft blue tie perfectly complements his tangerine-coloured rose boutonniere.

Florals to Warm the Heart

The colour palette for this wedding shoot would work for any season. In winter a warm colour palette brightens those cooler days, and set against the fire pit and festoon lights in the evening is enough to warm the coldest of hearts. Even if you have your heart set on these hues for your Spring, Summer or Autumn wedding flowers, boutique florist Lilacs + Lucy will help you achieve a very similar look. Working with local, seasonal blooms, Lilacs + Lucy can source whatever you need to make it work at any time. ofthe year.

Ceremony + Reception Styling Flow

A double triangular arbour made of natural wood was adorned with floral arrangements that later were repurposed to become part of the outdoor reception. Floral centrepieces were places at the high tables, the lounge chill area with fire pit, and on the caravan bar. The styling team from Curated Weddings & Events and florist Lilacs + Lucy worked together to style both areas most of the flowers, and achieve a cohesive flow throughout.

Continuing with flow in mind, Dan Ford Celebrant served as both ceremony officiant, and also stayed on as MC for the reception. The beauty of having your celebrant double up as your MC is as follows. 1) You get a professional, who knows the ropes and how to keep things moving along to schedule. 2) They’ve already built a rapport with your guests. 3) This might be the most important one – they won’t drink too much, basically like your cousin/friend/uncle might be inclined to!
