Being big fans of Maleny, Coorparoo couple Lauren and Damien chose our Sunshine Coast hinterland for their destination wedding. They couldn’t go past the view at Weddings at Tiffany’s, so they held their ceremony in the chapel and stayed on site for photos and reception.
Lauren says their getting married was inevitable, “We knew very early in our relationship that we would get married. We were very lucky to be able to plan our wedding together and make sure it was the right celebration for us.”
Wedding Planning
“Working full time and studying meant we had very little time to spend on wedding planning. We had a good idea of what we wanted for the day so this made it easier to look for inspiration when we did have the time. We found most of our inspiration on Pinterest but also some research on websites or Google images.”
Wedding Venue
“We spent a lot of time in the early part of our relationship on the coast so Maleny was always a great place to spend time on the weekends. We have always loved the view of the glasshouse mountains so when we were looking for Wedding venues we knew very early that we would love to get married up there.
The three most important things for us on our day was to have good food, good people and a good atmosphere. We chose Weddings at Tiffany’s for the spectacular view, the amazing food and the professionalism and attention of the staff.”
The Music
“The band was also fantastic. They had most of the room up and dancing from the second song and kept the energy up through both their sets to make sure everyone stayed there. They had a great mix of songs from different eras to make sure there was something for everyone and were very accommodating in allowing us to choose our own playlists.
We had harps playing while walking down the aisle but didn’t have a reception entrance or first dance as we were enjoying the afternoon with our guests very soon after the ceremony.”
The Photos
“We made sure to choose a photographer that made us feel very comfortable during our photos and the band to make sure we had plenty of dancing and good vibes.”
