Nezz and Andrew fell in love amidst a spirited teenage shaving cream fight. True story.
Andrew, the larrikin, obviously had his eye on young Nezz (I mean, could you blame him?) as he went out of his way to single her out to douse her in shaving cream – now that’s what I’d call a “meet cute”. In all seriousness it was the stuff young love is made of, and seven years later Andrew made it official when he proposed to his sweetheart.
I’m can’t say for sure they’ve made shaving cream fights something they do on each anniversary, but I’d like to hereby officially suggest it. And not only for Nezz and Andrew, because I feel we could all use a little shave cream romance in our lives. Just don’t come crying to me if you get it in your eye.
This happy couple planned a relaxed stylish wedding at one of the Sunshine Coast’s more affordable wedding venues, which maintains a fitting elegance. Bride Nezz was a vision in a gown from Brisbane bridal boutique, White Lily Couture, and brightened up the day with posies by wedding florist Willow Bud. Their ceremony and reception was styled with white simplicity by Cloud Nine Weddings.

“We had light rain early in the morning, but we were lucky enough that the weather cleared up in time for our ceremony and it was a perfect day!”

“When we met, it all started at a shaving cream fight at Andy’s sister Patricia’s 17th birthday party back when I was in high school! Andy kept singling me out and covering me in shaving cream and from that moment it was on!”
“We surprised our guests by having our bridal party enter reception by dancing in to Tambourine by Eve! Considering we sprung this on our bridal party about 10 minutes before they entered reception, they all executed their dance moves with killer style! Then Andy and I entered reception by dancing to a mashup of Let Me Clear My Throat by DJ Kool, MC Hammer’s You Can’t Touch This, Gangnam Style by Psy, and Beyonce’s Single Ladies! It was goofy, spontaneous and so much fun!”
