When the day started out looking somewhat less than perfect by Queensland weather standards, Stacey and Nick refused to let it deter them from having their beach wedding at Noosa Main Beach’s Casuarina Gardens. After all, they had been engaged for over six years – this was happening!
The popular spot for Noosa Beach wedding ceremonies was decorated by Beach & Garden Ceremonies with a touch of copper glamour, and a little sparkle. The bride chose flowers that included perfectly bloomed roses in a striking red, and local makeup artist Natalie Hunter applied a lipstick to match, while Evalyn Parsons whipped her hair up into a classic elegant high bun with a braid for a contemporary twist.
After the ceremony and a quick bridal party shoot on Noosa Main Beach with Lisa Pearl Photography, the couple and their 55 guests continued the celebration with fine dining at Sails Restaurant on Hastings Street.
“It was important to us that we could have the ceremony and reception within walking distance for our guest’s comfort and to minimise disruption on the day. We were set on a restaurant style wedding and after getting engaged six years prior in Noosa, finding a venue along Hastings Street ticked all the boxes. Once we had our restaurant venue selected, all other elements fell into place pretty effortlessly.” “Having our closest friends and family in the same place after travelling from many locations around the country. The day was just so full of love and having a morning ceremony and lunch reception meant we were able to spend quality time with everyone and party on well into the night.” “My grandparents were married 55 years earlier and my great-grandparents 80 years earlier on June 3rd and we feel so special to be able to share this wedding date with them. To honour this, I carried my grandmothers handkerchief from her wedding day in my dress pocket and my grandfather walked me down the aisle. ” “As part of our ceremony, we included a ring blessing which entailed our wedding rings in a timber box being passed around to all our guests for them to hold and say a silent blessing, wish or prayer.”
“Follow your heart and do whatever you want to do, not what you think you need to do. Not every wedding needs to be the same, that’s what makes them special.” “We made the call early on in the day that we were going to proceed with our outdoor ceremony regardless (of the rain) and luckily the rain held out for the entire ceremony and bridal party photos, with it starting to rain just as we stepped into the reception.”
