When my son was little, each year he would announce his chosen theme for his birthday, and since he could never land on just one, we fell into the habit of going with it. We had Pirates + Bowling for his fourth birthday, Soccer + Inflatables for his 9th birthday. We had Olympics + Barbeque for his 10th birthday, Dr. Who + Bowling (again) for his 7th birthday. My favourite of all was his “Princes and Queens + Backyard Camping” for his 6th birthday. Needless to say, I’m personally not at all adverse to a dual theme.
Gatsby Wedding
“Australiana meets The Great Gatsby”, in my eyes, is a match made in heaven. I’m quite taken by the genius of those who planned this feat. I reckon my man cub would even get on board with this one!
The models were dressed in a classic Hollywood style, dripping with that Gatsby glamour. Traditional florals had a love affair with native Australian florals for the day. And let me tell you it was an affair full of unbridled passion.
The marriage of these two concepts was further coerced by the locations – first, the stunning natural coastline, and finishing with the glitz of Mooloolaba’s Boston Shaker Bar.
