Coolum Beach is the Sunshine Coast’s most down-to-earth small coastal town, in my opinion. Life just moves a little bit slower there – in a good way.
There is definitely plenty of reason for the locals to be friendly – their patch of paradise has kept to its roots. The love of the beach and a simple way of life is where it’s at in Coolum. Lazy beach days watching surfers ride and tides rise, twilight walks along the beach with a cocktail waiting at the end – that’s the life!
If this resonates with you, Coolum Beach may be the perfect place for you to hold your wedding.
The Space
My pals, Coolum Beach is small. Coolum Beach Surf Club is one of the only local wedding venues, and happily it’s in the perfect absolute beachfront location. The second-floor private function room offers outstanding views of the beach, and comes with its own private bar and deck.
Your Ceremony
If having the sand between your toes as you say your vows is a wedding day dream for you, then this is the place. Directly out the front of the Surf Club is a popular place for Coolum wedding ceremonies.
Alternatively, a short walk away is Point Perry, which offers spectacular views. The deck at the Surf Club is a third option, or can be your wet weather back up plan.
