Set in the heart of Maleny, this collaboration of artisan and local industry suppliers showcased their creativity under a handmade yurt, levelling up the inspiration for 2020 couples.
Finding the proper team to support your wedding vision is important to the success of telling your story. The vendors in this collaboration all understood the style and vibe. Maleny is a community well known for its artisan roots.
Naomi from Montville Yurts says, “We all really wanted Maleny as a venue to speak for itself and create a feeling around that.”
Artisan Wedding Yurt Styling
In fine art style the design concept was around nature and organic materials. The brief was modern, natural and above all intentional. For the flowers, Julia from Ginger Lily & Rose Floral Studio created a collection of muted, earthy tones with a fresh, romantic feeling.
Custom hand-printed stationery over marigold linen paired with vintage and one-of-a-kind products, this is for the couple that truly appreciates a sustainable and well curated event. We love and support slow art forms and the makers and artists who keep this wonderful fine art industry alive and prospering in the hinterland. The hand cut, block-printed stationery is from Lois Collins Design.
Colour Palette
For Montville Yurts and White Elk the aesthetic is out-of-the box, offering an organic bridal style, showcasing a colour palette of marigold, mustard, earthy browns and magenta pink. (Did you know that yurts are still the most common type of habitation in Mongolia. Nomads moved every few months, living alongside rare wildlife, including the snow leopard, white elk and wild horses).

Caravan Catering
Head Over Wheels mobile caravan bar once again proved to be the perfect addition to any event looking cool against any backdrop. The van carried the blend of decor styles beautifully. The striking bar setting included the vinyl DJ station adorned with floral designs, woven baskets plus vintage and rattan decor.
In line with the rise of the sober bar, and as more partygoers examine their relationship with wellness, non-alcoholic craft beers from indigenous brewery. Sobah Beverages were served to keep guests both well and hydrated. Sobah Beverages is Australia’s first non-alcoholic craft beer company.
