My mum has this funny superstition. She says that whoever you see in the New Year with is who you will spend your quality time with that coming year. I don’t know if there is any weight in this or not, I expect that’s simply her way of getting us all to spend NYE with the family. If it is true, it makes sense in the case of Eliza and Tim, who just celebrated their wedding in a private property wedding on New Year’s Eve – exactly four years from the day they met.
They were married in Tinbeerwah in a fun ceremony in which all the guests were engaged by celebrant, Lynette Maguire, making the official part of the day loads of fun. After the deal was done, the couple left their 80 guests to enjoy the bride’s parents’ property, while they adventured to a nearby property for their wedding party photos. Their photographer, Alan Hughes (a firm Bride’s Tree favourite), had scoured the local area for the pretty location and made arrangements for their access to have their photos taken amidst the romantic long grass and rolling hills with a view of Eumundi sprawled before them.
A cocktail reception followed, catered by Capelli Foods, serving up satisfying canapes and mini meals throughout the night.

“I was able to attach my late sister’s signet ring to my bouquet so she could walk down the aisle with my dad and I. It was very special for the family.” “The ceremony was so much fun! Our celebrant, Lynette Maguire, did a great job at getting the guests involved.”
“We wanted to make sure that our day represented us and was entirely what we wanted rather than anyone else.” “For our bridal party photos, we went to an amazing location near the property towards Eumundi that our photographer sourced.” “Don’t listen to other people too much about how you should do things – it’s your day and there are no rules!”
