When Emily and Kyle became engaged, they made the decision to plan their day so that it was the perfect reflection of them as a couple. Combining bright colours with navy for their Sunshine Coast Spring wedding and a whole lot of fun did the trick.
Photography
The couple’s other main priority was finding a photographer who would both capture their memories of their special day, and make it a day to remember.
“We wanted someone who could not only capture our day, but also make it a lot of fun.” said Emily.
They found just the photographer in Nicola Holland Photography.
The Venue
With a view of the rolling hills of the Sunshine Coast hinterland through to the ocean, Flaxton Gardens is where Emily and Kyle held both their ceremony and reception. The boys were able to get ready onsite, living it up with beers on the balcony.
“My bouquet had a family locket, which had a photo of my grandma and grandpa, who are no longer with us, and my engagement ring was my grandma’s.”
“As my dad walked down the aisle next to me, he didn’t get to watch me walk down the aisle, I thought it would be nice to do a wedding dress reveal, so once I was ready we brought my dad in to share that special moment.”
“My husband chose how I entered the ceremony. I entered from a different area to the bridesmaids and when the big doors opened at Flaxton Gardens it felt like a fairy tale with just him and I.”
“Be excited, not nervous, you are about to marry the person you love most! I made sure my day was filled with excitement and happiness. All that matters is that you and your husband have fun, cause that is who the celebration is all about.”
