When beautiful bride Sarah married her love of 10 years, guy in a picture perfect Flaxton Gardens Wedding, she not only had the good sense to don a seriously stunning Anna Campbell bridal gown, she also had great philosophies about the big day.
Here are some of Sarah’s nuggets of wisdom about wedding planning for a Sunshine Coast wedding…
On staying cool…
The main thing is to be flexible and calm. Have a backup plan in case something on the day doesn’t turn out as you planned and be mindful that it is likely something will play out unexpected.
Having the best wedding creative crew…
We chose suppliers who would take care of the setting up – it made our day much less stress free knowing that the suppliers would handle it all. I didn’t have to worry about anything on the day and neither did our family or friends.
Making the most of the day…
The wedding passes by and you wonder where the time went. We had a rehearsal dinner with family the night before the wedding and had a post wedding brunch. It is hard to spend time with all the guests on the wedding day and having a couple of other events either side of the wedding allowed us and everyone else to spend some quality time together.
On what matters most…
Being surround by family and close friends to celebrate the most important day of our lives. We will forever cherish sharing our most precious moments in the presence of loved ones.
Images by Life and Love Photography “Both our mums helped a lot in most of the wedding planning, which made the experience very special.”
“Guy spoiled me with a bottle of Chanel No.5 which I received on the wedding morning.” “We had my brother and sister-in-law in the bridal party, and our nephew as ring bearer. However, our nephew is going through the terrible twos and didn’t end up carrying the rings – it was miracle he wore his jacket!” “The church was most important to us. It was always where we wished to get married and we were so fortunate to have secured the Little White Wedding church.” “Guy proposed Halloween 2015 and it was the same weekend a year later we married.” Flowers byWillow Bud “I had 3 bridesmaids. My maid of honour and best friend who I studied with at university, my beloved sister-in-law and my wonderful friend who I have known through horse riding.” “Guy had three groomsmen and included his best friends and my wonderful brother.” “It is very easy to be with Guy and we rarely disagree on things. We also love to be in each other’s company and spending quality time together experiencing new things. We have common interests, which I believe is the foundation of our relationship.” “We met at a mutual friend’s party 10 years ago and connected instantly. Our love of fitness and Surf Life Saving along with our background with horses created a great friendship. It was 2 years later we started seeing each other.”
