Photo of the Week

8th March 2013

If this doesn’t brighten your day, nothing will. Just take a moment to “ahhh” with us over this picture-perfect scene. A beautiful newlywed couple, a stunningly gorgeous Sunshine Coast beach, and some really funky styling with a personalised freestanding doorway draped in vines. Ah.May.Zing.  If this was the only photograph you ended up with from your wedding day, I’m sure it would be enough. However knowing Greg Gardner Photography, this lucky couple would have had plenty of equally as gorgeous images and spoiled for choice as to which ones to display. Hmm… I feel the need to come up with…

Upstyles for Brunette Brides

7th March 2013

Last week we brought you a fine selection of bridal upstyles for blondes, so today we thought we had better do the brunette brides a solid and show you some gorgeous styles for our dark-haired beauties as well.  There is nothing more elegant than glossy locks expertly curled, twisted, braided and pinned atop a bride’s crown for her wedding day. Whether it be a high structured bun, a low chignon, or some cascading curls pulled to the side for a striking asymmetrical style, each of these pretty bridal hair styles has their place in a Sunshine Coast wedding. We love…

Brooch Bouquet

4th March 2013

One super pretty trend to hit the wedding scene is bouquets made entirely from beads, crystals, brooches and other kinds of jewellery. Ultra glam, the beauty of these jewellery bouquets is unlike their flower counterparts, of course they do not wilt!  This beautiful little morsel is complemented with royal blue silk flowers and tied with a gorgeous ivory ribbon, pinned with a sapphire rhinestone. Gorgeous bride, Taryn (whose DIY styling we recently featured), ordered her brooch bridal bouquet online at Etsy store, Noaki Jewelry. Their customisable bouquets are carefully constructed with each little gem and brooch wired in to make…

Photo of the Week

1st March 2013

The clouds may have only parted for a mere moment, but that’s all Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, Jennifer Oliphant Photography needed to capture this spectacular shot with sunshine streaming through. This lovely engaged couple must be jumping out of their skin to have ended up with a shot like this at One Tree Hill in Maleny from their engagement shoot. There is no better view of the majestic Glass House Mountains than that of the one from the little tree on the hill all the best local wedding photographers have access to. This tree is iconic to weddings in the…

Wedding Day Emergency Kit

28th February 2013

Sure, you might have considered throwing a couple of Panadol, bandaids and your lippie in your bridesmaid’s purse to keep close by on your Sunshine Coast wedding day for just incasies. However, have you thought about hem tape in case your dress hem is caught on something? Or static spray in the event that you end up with an unintended bustle at your butt? Superglue for broken heels? What about spare earring backs? Eyedrops? No, we hadn’t either!  Simply Bridal have come to the rescue with this awesome checklist for your own wedding day emergency kit… Now it may not…

Photo of the Week

22nd February 2013

Today’s Photo of the Week has been chosen for one simple reason. That it has many moustaches in it obviously. Oh no! Okay, there are a few more reasons… One is the moustaches, which are clearly awesome and a welcome edition to any formal occasion, especially a wedding. The next is that it is another example of a beautiful Sunshine Coast wedding day – who can deny we have simply the most stunningly gorgeous days to celebrate marital union? Of course we must make mention of the handsome crowd in this photo. And… yes, you guessed it, I don’t even…

Morning Wedding at Noosa Heads

18th February 2013

Ali and Adam met on a ski trip in France in 2007. Adam was travelling with his sister and brother and Ali was away solo, looking for something different that Christmas after turning 30. While they didn’t get together on this trip, they kept in touch and met up again in London the next year. They say their firm friendship is what makes them a great couple. The pair dreamt of an Australian beach wedding in beautiful mid-morning light. For their Noosa wedding ceremony, they chose an incredibly beautiful spot at Casuarina Gardens, Noosa Heads, where there are also so many great spots…

The Epitome of Romance – Happy Valentine’s Day!

14th February 2013

Happy Valentines Day, beautiful Sunshine Coast brides! Today we decided to ask the people who see possibly more loved-up romantic people than is fair a very pressing question about the topic…  What screams "romance" to you?  Andrea from Andrea Sproxton Photography says…  "This moment screams romance to me… Brian and Karlee had planned to give each other a single red rose during their ceremony, but unbeknownst to Karlee, Brian had red roses gold plated and swapped the fresh ones for these – needless to say it was an emotional ceremony!" Julia from Ginger Lily & Rose Floral Studio says…  "Romance to…
