Let me tell you a little something about owls. No, really, stay with me – this is relevant to weddings!
Owls traditionally are a very respected creature in many countries across the globe. The Greeks believed owls represent status, intelligence and wealth. In Celtic, Egyptian and Hindu cultures, the owl is representative of guardianship. In our western culture, they denote all kinds of meaning, like wisdom, mysticism, transition and protection. In all, the owl is a creature many respect, and they definitely have an undeniable magical sense about them.
Having an owl as part of your wedding may seem like a strange idea at first, and we have to admit, it’s certainly unusual! However, having China, the ring-bearing Barn Owl, in your wedding party is a sensational idea on many levels. Not only will you surprise and delight your guests when this glorious bird soars in from great heights to present your rings, you will also be supporting a great cause. This kind of training for a bird is also wonderful enrichment, helping him have a very lovely life of flying fun and activity.
There is a fee associated with having China at your wedding, which goes towards assisting his owners, Crystal and Jason, in providing care for other injured birds! To have a little something extra special on your Sunshine Coast wedding day, and to support Crystal and Jason’s committment to our local wildlife, you can contact them on 0401 970 705, or email jazzzoo@hotmail.com.
